Valdis

On the far edge of the Northern Territory lies the desert that Valdis calls home. A vast sea of sand that can only be seen if it were cleared entirely stretches on for miles in all directions. The sun beams down upon the land to make this territory in Illyrian one of the hottest around, though it cools down considerably at night. Rain is hardly seen around Valdis, but when it makes an appearance, it is cherished. Mountains that vary in shades of light brown or red orange can be seen in distance while large cracked rocks rest upon the ground, looking as if they had been thrown there carelessly by some large beast. Cacti off all different shapes and sizes are scattered throughout the desert and flowers of many different colors appear in the most random of places, proving that there can be life in even the most extreme heat. There are no trees, only large bushes that provide a moderate amount of shade for the wolves of Valdis. A few weak streams can be found throughout the territory, though they lack water most of the year. There is only one large body of water in the desert, which is a pond, that is normally only half full. The water is warm and carries bits of sand carried from the wind, but it's the only real source of water the pack has. Few bones left over from kills and animals that had past away due to the heat litter the ground in various spots of the territory. Only those who enjoy the heat, the desert scenery, or are just up for a challenge choose to become a part of Valdis.
