Tender wolf. Do you know what your soul believes? Your mind believes that you are lost. A stray far from what constitutes a wolf. But deep within that shell of self-doubt and failure is a whisper that says one thing:
One day.
The dark volcanic soil was quite fertile, but only short blades of dry grass dared to sprout upon the fire-mountain's side. And Nixxy, an angelic sort of wolf, walked slowly down the volcano. She had considered it... This thing had almost become a daily ritual.
The beholding of her life and asking, was it worth it?
And time and time again, that tiny whisper of a voice deep within her mind... her soul demanded that she wait just one more day. And so she did. But every tomorrow demanded another tomorrow and she knew the truth within the truth. She was a failure, a coward that was even too cowardly to leave this world. She wanted to belong and so she sought the Alpha. Lately, his strong presence was like a drug to her. She lived to see him, long strides and all, parading with power. Power was that which she wanted. But she knew that such a wish was an impossibility.
Dark chocolate paws left prints in the soil and she chanced it. She wanted to try it out... a bigger stance. And she let her tail up. She let her ears prick up, brown towers of false pride. She let her wings spread in two beautiful feathered angel arcs. Her cream body shone for a second and she forced a glimmer out of her forehead jewel. She felt the wave of confidence and it washed over her... but tauntingly. Fake, fake, fake! Because it was.
She lowered herself again. Gold eyes cast downward as she assumed her rightful submissive stance. Her tail tucked down, cuddling with the hocks of her hindlegs. Her wings were pinned against her side. Her head and ears held low. A defeated wolf. A wolf beat down. And that was the place that she belonged. No matter how much she rebelled it. That was where she belonged. It was where the gods put her.

Jabez//Blood&&Death
The bitter smell of blood lingered in the air as an immense figure lingered within the darkness that surrounded the area. Thick black smoke clogged up the sky and sucked up most of the oxygen, making it hard to breath. Standing tall in the middle of the Death Valley was a black volcano, where the smoke was emitting. The area was dead, it looked as though no soul could survive in such a dim place, but with a closer look life was everywhere. The grass was mostly dead, however there were patches of green grass that game scrambled to get too and there was plenty of water for it rained frequently.
Heavy breathing came from the large figure that was consumed by the darkness. When he stepped out dim light shone over his black coat. He looked like no wolf. He towered above the average wolf and his bulky coat made him look twice as big. His fur was pitch black and mattered with dry blood. Wrapped around his neck was a thick cocker with large spikes that jetted out from the sides. Thick chains covered his legs and clicked together that sent a spine-chilling echo across the land. His blood red narrowed eyes were empty of any feeling except for the lust for blood.
Jabez Bloodwind, once a long time ago, he was very famous for his cannibalism. He stalked the world causing chaos wherever he went. Those were the days. Jabez ran his tongue over his blood stained fangs, which hung below his maw. He no longer cared about killing for fun; he lost all joy for killing, ever since he was killed by his pathetic wannabe cousin Trapper, but that was ancient history, in the present he was the Alpha of the Azrael pack. Jabez pressed on further, his large paws making indents in the dead grass. His eyes flickered around before they landed upon a wolf off in the distance; Jabez knew that it was a pathetic omega that ran in his pack. Jabez usually didn’t tolerate with them, but if they didn’t have omegas whom else would they push around?
Jabez gradually made his way over to her. He held his head high with pride and his tail arched across his back. Jabez would always make sure that everyone knew that HE was the boss. HIS word was law. Jabez was lucky that the king was his Uncle, for Jabez rarely respected any wolf. He remained silent as he made his way beside her, his eyes focused in front of him.

That sharp smell of blood and of power! Of courage and omnipotence! Nixxy's nostrils drank in the fragrance of her Alpha. This was what she wanted for herself and she lowered her head, but flickered her eyes upon her Alpha, her god, Jabez. Her stance seemed to melt as Jabez neared. As Jabez looked and judged her. She wished, hoped, dreamed, that this day, her Alpha would appraise her as worth something more... more than Omega.
But. She was less than nothing. She was Omega.
Oh the contrast! This glorious image of strength that approached her. And she was nothing more than a feeble representation of a wolf.
Nixxy bowed her head, drunk on the presence of her Alpha. He did not bring her joy nor did he bring her fear or anger, but awe. And in her awe, she sank to the earth, her tail between her legs and her ears plastered to her head. Her tongue kept licking her nose in appeasement while she groveled on the Earth before the Alpha. Her wings were shivering as they were pinned against her body. Her jewel glowed dully upon her forehead. And she asked not for her life, but for his decision, whatever it may be.
Torture me. Pity me. Save me. Love me. Hate me.
I don't care. As long as...
I exist.

Jabez//Blood&&Death
Jabez twisted his head around and looked over at Nixxy, like he noticed she was there for the first time. Jabez really didn’t communicate with other wolves, even those in his pack. He remained aloof. He was the darkness, appearing suddenly and then vanishing before one could blink. A smirk spread across his maw as he looked at her – not a hint of respect lingered in his eyes. Of course it wasn’t just because she was an omega, part of Jabez always thought he was better then everyone else. He twisted his head and looked away from her and took a deep breath.
“Omega,” He spoke to her in a cruel and sarcastic voice, he still did not look at her, “the darkness is coming shortly.” He then remained silent. When he spoke, it wasn’t much. He did not elaborate his words nor did he explain what he meant when he said the darkness was coming. His cold eyes flickered over to her before he looked back over to him. He kept his body in perfect stance, keeping his body tall and making sure everyone around knew that he was the boss. He wasn’t one to be messed with.

Oh! He noticed me! Such strangeness! His cruel, sardonic voice, It sounds like laughter to my ears!
And one of Nixxy's ears flicked up at the sound of her title: Omega. But truly was this title more for ridicule than pride. No wolf tried to be the greatest Omega that they could be. Being put into Omega was a struggle for life. It meant eating last. And Nixxy's beauty was shriveling away already. Her soft fur was harsh and her beautiful form was becoming thinner and thinner. She was a shadow of the wolf that she was. Or maybe her body finally reflected her true self: weak, cowardly, and most of all, useless.
But the last of what he said, "The Darkness is coming shortly" It filled Nixxy with a fearful feeling. One of uneasiness. It made her feel sick, but then she erased the feeling and let relief come in. If he meant death, then... he would decide for her and finally she could leave this world without being a test of courage. And if he let her live, she would admire his mercy towards her. Nixxy had always wondered why Jabez had let her into the pack. Sure, she was a plaything to him, something to torture. But he could do that with any wolf really.
Finally, that feeling of release and relief, of placing the decision of life and death into Jabez's paws... It filled Nixxy with a grain of courage. But only enough to say.
"Then let it come," in a soft voice.

Jabez//Blood&&Death
Jabez ran his tongue over his fangs as he barley heard the words that came out of the wolfess’s mouth before he shifted his weight. He turned his head as he looked at her with a grim smile. Time for Jabez flew by for him; time had no meaning to him. He snorted at her words as his laugh echoed across the empty land. “So you think you’ll be ready? Yet, your oblivious to what’s going on” his words fell from his maw in a soft whisper that she would have to stain to catch his words.
“When the time comes you know, just know this, blood will be shed.” He wasn’t really positive why he was speaking to her. Why he was telling her what was going to happen. It was really just a guess, Jabez wasn’t psychic, but he had a feeling something…horrible was coming near. After being through hell, he had a sense for these kinds of things. He pressed his ears against his skull as he narrowed his eyes and looked off into the distance. He wasn’t quite sure what was coming and he wasn’t sure when – but he knew it was going to happen. Whatever it was.

Nixxy's heart was racing in anxiety when she dared to speak aloud to Alpha Jabez. And for him to answer back without ripping her to shreds? Did this monstrous wolf have mercy towards her? Was there an inch of kindness in the cannibal's soul? He had laughed and had began to speak.
Nixxy forced her body still, Jabez's words barely audible over her loud heartbeats and racing thoughts. She tried to calm herself to hear his words. His tone seemed amused as he pointed out her obliviousness. Nixxy did not care. She knew her place and it was not her place to question Jabez. She stood there, her weak form barely standing. She mustered all her strength to keep herself on all four paws.
Jabez's presence was that strong. Every grain of Nixxy wanted to drop and go belly up, offering her entire self to his mercy. But she didn't and remained standing, her tail tucked tightly between her hind legs. And he spoke of an upcoming time of bloodshed. This filled Nixxy with an intoxicating sense of dread and helplessness. And she loved this feeling for her only happy days were when she was a small pup. The days when dependence and weakness were accepted as a way of life.
Why did wolves have to change? Why must wolves pick themselves up and become strong? Why couldn't wolves stay weak without penalty?
Questions such as these spun in Nixxy's head, but she only said in a sliver of a voice, "What's to happen?"
Dumb! Dumb, dumb, dumb! You dare to question Jabez! Are you ready to die?
I don't know. Maybe I am, Maybe I'm not.

Jabez//Blood&&Death
Her question rung in Jabez’s ears, but he did not move. He did not turn over and snap at her for daring to question his knowledge, but instead he stood with an empty look in his eyes, almost as if he had never heard her utter those forbidden words. Yet, it was quite clear that Jabez did hear those words, and any other time he would have snapped enraged by the words, however things were different, after all who wouldn’t want to know what would happen? Even he did not know the answer. A sigh escaped his powerful jaws as he closed his eyes for a few seconds before he reopened them and glanced down at the omega.
“What is going to happen?” He asked her, repeating the own question as he tossed the words in his mind for a moment. “I do not know.” He said with a grim look. “Darkness lingers in the air and the ominous warnings are quite clear. Something big, perhaps a war, I am not sure.” His words faded out into the darkness. Jabez wasn’t one to chat most, even more so go t a lowly unimportant omega, but for some reason Jabez was speaking to her and in a somewhat civil tone.

Jabez was speaking of the bleak consequence of war. He seemed convinced that war was to come. And Nixxy believed it too, but then again, her respect for Jabez had her believing his every word.
Wait! He's... talking to me...
Nixxy was quite surprised that she wasn't dead yet. She was so sure that her daring question would guarantee death. But it couldn't just be luck. It was impossible for an Alpha like Jabez to speak so civilly with an Omega like herself. It was more than impossible; it was almost against nature. But what if the reason was something even more impossible?
Does he... love me?
That had to be it! He hadn't ripped her to shreds yet! He told her secrets of an upcoming horror instead of letting her live life unaware and unprepared! He had noticed her! And she felt dizzy. The world seemed to spin around her and the only thing that remained was her sudden suspicion of Jabez's hidden affections.
But then, why hasn't he told me?
Of course! He was an Alpha! And an Alpha couldn't love an Omega! It was against the social code of wolves! It was against nature! Nixxy was so sure of Jabez's intentions. She gave a brief smile and the light blue jewel upon her head emitted a soft and beautiful glow. Nixxy believed that Jabez saw through her malnutrition and unkempt look and saw her true beauty. The one that in her younger years was so admired.
Her mind danced with the words. I love you too, Jabez.
Her gentle gaze had an intense sense of adoration in them. Did Jabez see her love? She batted her eyelashes, but kept her head low in true Omega fashion.
In her weak and hushed voice, she said, "I believe you are right about the war coming." She had hoped that she left enough signs for Jabez to pick up her love! But the excitement and nervousness was leaving a lot of pressure in her bladder. She held it in, not wanting to piss herself in front of her lover!

Jabez//Blood&&Death
Jabez was utterly oblivious to Nixxy’s suspicion about his actions, and if she had declared what she was thinking, he would have killed her. No, Jabez was not in love with Nixxy, many believed (including Jabez) that he could never love anyone more them himself. No, what Jabez was thinking about was what would happen in the future. If there were a war what would happen? The need for blood and death, the bittersweet taste of victory – it was all gone, now just a numb feeling remained with him when he killed. There was no longer a glorious feeling when he felt blood run down his throat. Jabez grunted as he narrowed his eyes. He was sure that war is what was going to happen the future, but could he be wrong? It was possible. But something was coming and it was going to be huge.
Jabez twisted his head as she spoke and grunted at her a frown tugged across his maw. “War. There is probably no war…then again there might be. What does it matter? I’m not scared of anyone.” He said with a snap of his fangs. “It does not matter. It does not concern me. Let everyone fall into chaos.” He said with a emotionless voice as he stared back into the darkness.

The Omega wondered what her sweet Jabez meant. Did Jabez know if war was coming or not? Nixxy wanted to question him, but instinct kept her mouth shut. That and her squeezing bladder. Adding any more nervousness would probably result in her on her back with pee all over her belly. But she listened intently to Jabez's words. She loved him because he appeared to love her. She held on to the love because there was no other place for love to come from and verily did she thirst for it.
But Jabez's words? Did he want everyone to fall into chaos so that he and she could be together forever? With everyone gone, there would be no one to judge the love that they shared! The infatuated Omega wagged her tail, but it just slapped her stomach. Her tail was stuck between her legs. Her ears were flat against her head and she kept licking her nose. She hated instinct! It made her seem like a pitiful creature! Her angel wings quivered. She wanted to fly, but she didn't dare to have her head be above Jabez's. An Omega must be low. But what was the point for a winged wolf to be so grounded?
Nixxy gave a lover's sigh, "Yes. Let all of them fall into the chaos." She pressed her tail tight against herself, trying to keep her piss in. She was nervous, submissive, and scared all at once.
For War is Hell for Most. But it is Salvation for us.
Nixxy wanted the war to come now. And in gleeful excitement, she forgot herself. And yellow stained her tail.

Jabez//Blood&&Death
A strange aroma engulfed Jabez’s nose and he winched at it as he glared at Nixxy as though she done something terrible, but he just shook his head and did not speak of it. His mind was racing of thoughts and he was so occupied he did not pay much attention. Jabez, since he was always alone (most of the time), there was always something on his mind. Jabez never had a moment of silence. Sometimes it drove him mad. He clicked his sharp claws onto a rock as he thought about what she had just said. He didn’t understand where her words were coming from. Jabez wanted there to be chaos, because well – that’s what his old self would have loved and Jabez secretly hoped he would be able to return to his old self.
“Do you?” He asked, not bothering to even look at her. “Omega. You know nothing. You are weak and pathetic. When chaos does strike –whatever it is- you better stay out of the way. Or else you’ll end up getting killed.” He did not care what happened to the omega, but he thought he would at least act somewhat Alpha-like and give her a warning before chaos occurs. “It will soon happen. I don’t know when and I don’t know where, but…it is coming.” He said with a cold harsh voice.

Nixxy almost fell over in a panic. The warmth on her tail was pressed against her body and she pressed it tighter to try to keep the smell from escaping, but to no avail! Dear and sweet Jebez had smelled her embarrassing mistake! She wanted to jump in a lake, or a stream. Anywhere to end that smell of pathetic-ness. What wolf pissed all over herself? Especially in front of her secret admirer who was just not as secret anymore.
All Nixxy could do was smell her own urine, a perfume of weakness and submissiveness. A banner that said, "BEAT ME UP NOW!"
Yet, Jabez didn't. He just stood there, gave a brief chastising glare, and then continued with the chat. It had to be true! If Nixxy had any doubts before, they were gone now. He did love her! What other wolf would just ignore the smell of piss from another without abandoning or attacking? Nixxy knew that nature dictated that when another wolf pisses itself, all over its fine pelt, other wolves make a wide berth. But Jabez stayed near!
Was his love so strong? Nixxy was giddy on her secret love for him. Oh! The clues he dropped! It was certain! It was certain!
He was speaking of the war again. Warning her of the terrors to come! And he didn't want her to get killed! Was he going to save her when chaos struck? Nixxy believed that he would! Her ears pricked up from their lay down position. She knew it was rude to interject something--especially a favor. But she was certain that Jabez would not kill her. But she also knew that the smell of her pee wasn't the most pleasant smell in the land...
"Can I... find some water to wash in?" Her voice was soft and her look endearing.

Jabez//Blood&&Death
Memories of Jabez’s past consumed his thoughts, causing him not to pay attention to Nixxy’s actions. His thoughts took him back to when he was a bit shot. For a long time Jabez caused chaos wherever he went. He killed and ate hundreds and destroyed the live of thousands. It was glorious, having others fear your name. Jabez’s name was forbidden among wolves, the name would be bring pain, which is literally what his name means. However, Jabez’s cousin, Trapper came along pissed off at Jabez for stealing his title. It was an all out war. They fought to the death, literally. They both killed each other and were sent to the fiery pits of hell – of course they both managed to escape, but Jabez never been the same before that.
Jabez glanced around his home. It was a death trap, but it was also the perfect place for many. The food source was good, the sweet smell of blood lingered in the air, and dark clouds seemed to always smother out the sunlight. Jabez sighed before he tore his gaze over back to the Omega, just when she had asked his permission to wash off. Jabez snarled. “Go ahead, Omega.” He said with a snort before turning back into the black abyss.

Nixxy's piss stained pelt stank of weakness and she was grateful for Jabez's graciousness. Her love for him grew and she knew that it had to be true: Jabez loved her. If he didn't, then he would have shredded her to pieces for asking such a favor. But he did not and so, Nixxy deduced that it meant one thing: That Jabez's love for her was stronger than his position of Alpha. Her giddy heart fluttered in her chest.
Almost crawling as she walked, Nixxy slunk away and found a stream to wash her pale coat in. She opened her wings and glided in, almost hoping that Jabez had seen her despite her yellow stained fur. She was positively sure that her movement was as gentle and fluid as the stream that she had hopped in. And she slipped into the water with hardly a splash.
The cold autumn air had chilled the water considerably and Nixxy's cream colored pelt was plastered against her skin. The smell of piss was replaced with the smell of wet and Nixxy jumped out, flapping her soggy wings. Water sprayed everywhere. She gave herself a good shake and would dry in about an hour as the sun was hidden behind dark clouds as it usually was. And if there were no clouds, it would be hidden by the volcanic smoke.
Nixxy's eyes searched for any sign of Jabez, but it seemed that he had disappeared into his darkness.
And perhaps, Once the war comes and goes, It will be our darkness.
Together.
