W h i s p e r {Into The Wind} Why, in this world with millions of wolves, do I feel so alone?
A gentle breeze whispered through the valley as a lone wolf dragged herself on top of a small hill that jutted up from the ground. Her soft white and gray fur shifted in the slight breeze as she closed her soft gray-stormed eyes and took a deep breath. It was getting much colder; winter was on its way, she did not mind however. Her fur wasn’t so thin so she wouldn’t freeze; she was too numb to feel the cold anyway. She pressed her ears back upon her head, she wasn’t normally like this, and she had always been the cheerful-happy-go-lucky wolf who was always optimistic. Now, she felt as though she was trapped in depression and anxiety. Whisper never really had any life-changing moments. Except for what happened with her son, but even after that she was positive he had a good life.
That all changed, however. How long has it been? A little less then a year, Whisper had finally found love. However, it never had a chance to go anywhere. She had only known Tye a little over a month, but ever since she first met him he made her feel – so alive. She could not explain the feeling. She wasn’t even sure how he felt about her. Whisper sighed as she looked at the grass beneath her. She was so pathetic, she was holding on to feelings, and she wasn’t even sure how he felt about her! Whisper was going to confess to him, but before she got a chance she was wolfnapped by the parents of Wiccan, the Alphess, whom Whisper and Tye had become good friends with. She was tortured for the next month, and they kept moving her from place to place, so nobody could find her. They covered their tracks good and Whisper was sure Tye and Wiccan would save her – but they never came…he never came- they told her that they didn’t even try. Tears became to from in her eyes as she tried to push the memories away. That couldn’t have been true, they had to have tried to save her!
Whisper took a deep breath and with her paw whipped away her tears. It was all in the past. She escaped and ran away, she wanted to go back to their old pack, but she wasn’t sure how to get there, and ever since she been on her own. Now she was the Beta here in this pack. Whisper was gradually beginning to become her old self. Before her smiles were all fake – but now the light in her eyes was slowly coming back and she laughed more often. She doesn’t always pause and stare off into space, as much and she never shed tears in front of others, no matter how much they pushed her in talking about her past.
“I will be fine,” she whispered to herself, “it was just a fling. I will never see Tye again. I may never feel that way again…it’s all right, I will be fine. So long as I’m alive.”

"'I have to save her! I can't let her go! I love her!' the blue wolf said to his alphess. 'I love her Wiccan. I don't know if I can live without her...' He said in a near sob. He would do what ever he could to save Whisper, even if it cost him his life, because he knew that he would see her again. And he would guard her while he was up in the heavens, he'd be her guardian angel. Just to make sure she would always be safe. And Wiccan would help; they were good friends, they all were. There's no way she would die..."
"Mhhhhhh...." The wolf sighed as he reluctantly remembered the past. He was usually able to surpress the memory, but recently she's been on his mind all the time. He would never be able to fully forget, but he would try. He has been a wreck. He hasn't kept his fur very clean, and the sparkle that used to always shine in his playful eyes vanished, along with the smile that he used to carry every where. He was depressed, he had been for about a year. He kicked a stone as he walked through the pack territory. He was sure he was alone on the cold winter day, he didn't think there was anyone around him to see him cry. So he did it freely. He didn't sob so much as just letting the tears roll down his cheeks, his ears drooping-- he was a very unpleasant sight.
But as Tye kicked the stone one more time, he saw another wolf. He couldn't see it clearly, but it did make him wipe his cheeks and suck it up. He went over to the small pond and dipped in. He sat for a minute, just letting the water soak his fur, and licked away the matted parts of his fur. He got out and shook his fur until it was mostly dry. He looked back at the wolf that sat upon the hill. A chill ran down his back and he remembered the day he gave Whisper a rose made out of stone. A small smile appeared on his face, and one last tear fell from his eyes. He took the closest stone to him and made a sketchy rose again. It looked much worse than the one he made for Whisper, but it wasn't bad. He held it in his paw for a minute, and looked closely at the wolf on the hill.
His heart stopped for only a second. He stared at the she-wolf, not believing his eyes. It couldn't be. He thought she was dead. Was she still alive. All of the sudden, the life came back in his eyes. A wide smile came to his face. It had to be her. It must have been her. Whisper. The love of his life that he thought died so many years ago.
Tye ran. He ran full speed towards her. But he didn't think she saw him, for he was coming from the side. He jumped, tackled her really, and started to lick her. There was no way he was doubting himself. The way his heart rate picked up, the way the wolf made him smile and remember Whisper when he first saw only a glimpse of her, he knew it was her. It was Whisper. He couldn't stop licking her, he was happier than anyone would ever know.
He had finally found the wolf he has been looking for for a year now, after thinking she was dead. How could anyone ever be happier that Tye was at that moment?

W h i s p e r {Into The Wind}
Whisper dug her claws into the ground as she grinded her teeth together. She couldn’t believe this was happening. She never worried about anything before, she never had too, but now, now she felt her spirit slowly dying away into the darkness and part of her wanted to go along with it. Part of her no longer wanted to live in a world…all alone. She was all alone and in constant pain, it hurt so much, she could barley stand another minute of it. She pressed her eyelids together as she tried to push away the negative thoughts and the deep aching pain in her chest – but it was still there, lingering within her, ready for her to completely break down.
Whisper gradually opened her empty eyes and looked down, there swaying in the wind was a small flower. A small smile tugged at the edges of her maw. The first day she met Tye he had made her a beautiful stone rose. The smile quickly faded away when she remembered the fate, which became of the rose. She held on to it, she wouldn’t let them have it, but finally they tore her away from it and destroyed it. Destroying the most perfect gift that she had ever received. It was as if they had destroyed her soul that day. Whisper took her paw and gently touched the flower and sighed deeply. Was her destiny to have this feeling upon her until the day she died? Which would be long from now.
Suddenly, Whisper was pushed to the ground. Her first reaction was to jump up and growl at the stranger and yell at him for surprising her like that. However, a familiar aroma engulfed her nostrils and a warm tongue ran across her cheek. Her heart began to pound in her chest, could it possibly be? She was too scared to look, knowing that if it wasn’t, she would have fell apart – what the darkness wanted. However, she finally managed to flicker her eyes and saw him. It was him! It could it be possible? Was this just a dream? Her tail began to wag behind her as she looked up at him.
”Tye, is that truly you, or am I in a dream in which I must wake up to the nightmare?” She whispered taking in his sent and his warmth. She wanted it to be real, but it was too good to be true, wasn’t it?

The blue and white wolf felt Whisper reject his tackle ((glomp)) at first, and her body tensed as she wanted to attack him. But as she relaxed, Tye knew it was her. He started to cry he was so happy. He stopped licking her only to lean on her in an awkward hug. He was in such a happy place right now, and it hasn't been that way for a long time. When he heard her soft, beautiful voice for the first time sinse he was in the Luminita pack from the Nozomi territories, he just about flipped in the air. It was much greater than he remembered. He stayed where he was, but spoke to her. "That lick was long overdue Whisper." He said and licked her once more on the cheek to prove his point.
"Oh Whisper. I can't believe your alive! And that I'm sitting here talking to you, the real you! Not just an image my mind tried to pull up. And let me tell you, you are much more beautiful in person..." He said after stepping back and looking at her. She wasn't anything like he had been picturing; much greater looking. Tye smiled a crooked, toothy grin, one that hasn't been seen for a long time. Tye had to get used to this. He had been alone for a while, and seeing Whisper will change his life, again. And their love will grow much more. Tye then thought back to the first day they met, back to the stone flower again. He looked back at the stone rose he held in his hand. He thought hard about it, and finally made a replica of the one he made a year ago. Except this one was the spitting image of a perfect, red rose. Green thornless stem, bright red, plump petals, and two dark green leaves. It was better then the last one he made by far.
He smiled, and asked her, "So, how are you? What happened that day you dissapeared? We were never able to find you, and I never gave up, but I eventually lost the scent and was just wandering around like a helpless fool." He said with a weak chuckle. He leaned in and hugged her once more. "I never got to tell you how I truly felt..." He said and licked her ear.
He knew they were both a bit overwhelmed with what just happened. After a year of searching, Tye finally found the one he loved. He would be happy again, and he wouldn't bring anyone down with his bad mood. He was so relieved she was alive. He looked at the stone rose in his paw and laid it on the ground by his feet. He picked it up with his mouth, and nuzzled her. He smiled at her with the rose in his mouth, and spoke, though most of it was slurred because of the flower.
"Hey, I'm not sure if you still have it, but here's another rose. A more beautiful rose, a reminder of how much you mean to me." Was what he said, though, it was hard to understand. He set the rose down and spoke again. "Whisper, I love you. I've loved you the whole time we were speperated, and I continue to love you. I loved you even when I thought you had died, and I love you now more than ever. I will continue to love you until I die. I'd really like to hear that you share the feeling..." He said and looked at her with puppy dog eyes. He nudged the rose closer to her feet, to make it a more tempting offer.

W h i s p e r {Into The Wind}
Whisper tilted her head upwards and looked at him with dreamy eyes. She could not believe this was happening. Oh thanks the Gods above, her answers have finally been answered. For so long she walked in darkness, in the shadows of her own mind – but now he was finally here! The one that made her feel complete. A large smile tore across her maw as she looked at him. She couldn’t believe this was actually happening. He was here with her. What more could she ask for? “I can’t believe you are here either, Tye. I dreaded the thought that I would never see you again…but now here you are!” She said, she could feel the tears lingering in her eyes, threatening to fall; she was overwhelmed with joy and happiness.
His next question caused her body to go stiff. She did not want to think about the past, yet talk about it. She felt her heart drop, so he was looking for her! She felt bad for doubting, but part of her always knew he was searching for her. She shifted her weight as she averted her gaze from him as she tried to gather her thoughts together, he deserved to know the hell she been through. She took a deep breath, a tear ran down her cheek, but she did not look at him. “It was awful. I never realized how cruel the world could be. They rarely fed me and beat me numerous times. The reason you could not find me is because they kept changing their location and covering our tracks. I finally escaped after a couple of months and ran as fast as I can – I was unsure where I was and therefore I couldn’t return back home. I looked for you, but…I was out of luck. I finally found myself here.” She said in a soft voice as she turned and looked at him, trying to smile, but she had a frown. She was happy, so happy he was here, but it still hurt to think of the past, let alone speak of it.
The tears came back when he gave her the new rose. She was heartbroken when they destroyed her old one. She smiled softly at him. She had loved the rose; it had been the perfect gift. It meant everything to her – because Tye had given it to her. She felt her heart pound in her chest as he said the words. Her eyes flickered down to the beautiful rose before she turned and looked at Tye. So, he did love her after all…that made her so happy. “Tye…” she whispered as she pressed herself against him, her salty tears falling into his coat. “I love you, too. I’ve always loved you. Tye, I never want to be without you. Please, promise me we’ll be together forever? I love you so much. I can’t imagine being without you, even for another minute. The thought is too dreadful.”

Tye winced as he heard the story. He growled under his breathe. He would some how get revenge. He licked her face. "Oh Whisper... That's aweful. I'm glad you were able to escape." He said with a face that said 'it'll be alright... I'm here now...' He smiled reassuringly to her, and licked her once more.
He saw the satisfaction in her eyes when the new rose was given to her. She obviously loved it, and her eyes glowed when she saw it. She probably lost the otehr one. But Tye understood. It had been too long. He leaned into her and listened to the words of her reply to his love. He smiled and licked the top of her head. "Whisper, I'd be a fool not to promise you that. I will always be with you, even if I die, I'll be your guardian angel and talk to you when you need me most. And since you power is to talk to the dead, it will be a bit easier." HE said with a smile. He could never forget the most unique of powers. It pained him to think of them ever being apart.
Tye smiled and looked to the sky. He closed his eyes and howled. He howled for love, for Whisper, for his joy; he just howled. He wanted every wolf in a mile redius to hear it, and howl with him. He slowly stopped the howling and listened to the echo. He smiled and looked at Whisper. "That was for you." He said with a vibrant smile on his face. He nudged her, trying to get ehr to the ground so he could lick her to death. He wanted to have a fun day devoted to her. With a nice meal that they each caught. Doing what ever he could to make her happy. He wanted her to be happy. He wagged his tail as he pushed her with his head.
